Our open narrative begins with a couple sitting in a waiting room at a train station. The couple are waiting for their train and with time the train approaches the platform and we watch the two characters leave the waiting room and get onto the train. On the train the couple are talking casually and eventually the male character announces he needs to get off at the next stop and leaves his young, blonde girlfriend alone to continue her journey. The girl looks in front of her lost in her own thoughts and sees an image of a masked man in the reflection in front of her. She jumps up and has a reaction that is shocked but, when she looks back she sees nothing is there. The girl passes it off as she may have been seeing things and intends to continue her journey home.
As the journey lengthens the young girl receives a phone call from an unknown number, we hear her saying 'hello?' multiple times and due to know answer; she hangs up the phone. The girl looks down the carriage and the masked villain waiting at the end. She runs to the doors to try and get off the train but, the open button of the door fails to allow her access to the platform meaning she is stuck with the unknown character on the train. She screams and runs to the following door and repeats the action and is still not granted access from the masked man who continues to just stand still where he is.
As the man slowly approaches we hear sharp, high pitched screams from the young girl. As he gets closer, she is stuck and has no where to turn. She is shocked as the villain appears to have disappeared. The masked villain however then comes up from behind the girl and pulls her to the floor where she is knocked out.
The girl wakes up and is sitting back where she was at the beginning of the sequence and is panting and panicking at the confusion of what has just happened. She looks forward and sees the mask lying on the seat opposite her, suggesting that the killer is going to strike again.
Within our thriller we have used many elements that are conventional to the thriller genre. For example: we have a blonde, female victim which is stereotypical to the genre in regards of the audience inferring naivety and vulnerability and loud noises such as screams, which cause a shock to the audience. The unexpected quick snaps of the mask is conventional to a thriller storyline and the idea of the mask being zoomed in on at the end on the seat allows our audience to predict and want to discover what will happen next. We have used mise-en-scene that is also relevant to the thriller genre such as a stereotypical girly costume for the victim and the iconography of the mask for the killer. Alongside this, the use of cinematography will allow our scenes to flow more freely and to link together our scenes. Overall, our opening scene has been created and moulded to fit the thriller genre.

Filming Schedule/Risk Assessment- Miss Georgiou
The purpose of the risk assessment task was to ensure that during filming everyone on both the production team and those acting were safe. In the case of something happening it was important as a group and as individuals that we were aware of how to cope with the situation if we were to be confronted with one. But, to avoid this happening we had a group meeting that discussed ways of avoiding dangers and hazzards and creating preventions so, that filming could run as safely and as efficently as possible. For example: we were filming at a train station and it was important we didn't get carried away with filming and become uncautious of things such as the track. We placed all our hazards and dangers we may face in a risk assessment table that displayed us the issues and preventions clearly. For example: Dropping the cmerea during handheld or close ups can be avoided by using the handstrap on the camera,so, by placing this within the table format it is easily readable and accesiable for the whole production, acting and all round team. Further planning techniques were required such as, creating the preventions for the hazards i.e: using gaffer tape to secure leads and cords are unable to cause accidents. By taking out further planning the likelihood of the hazard taking place is then of a low percentage.
The purpose of the filming schedule was so as a group we knew exactly when we were filming, where and what was needed to be produced during that amount of time. The filming schedule helped us as a group in terms of organisation as we were fully aware of what needed to be done so, it stopped us going off track or trying to achieve too much within a short period of time and risking the quality faltering. Our filming schedule is based below and it shows/presents what we created and what parts of our thriller were filmed at certain times. Our schedule was mostly followed but, we had to make some changes due, to our actors letting us down at certain points due, to having other commitments themselves. This meant we had to alter part of our schedule and reschedule in different timings to film ie: the 23rd was changed to the 25th.
